We as consultants for acoustics and audio visual designers have done design for numerous corporate and commercial buildings for a wide variety of spaces, and provided services for audio visual system, architectural acoustics and noise control engineering. The spaces we have designed are:

Buildings with large open office areas and cellular office spaces need critical acoustical designing and noise control engineering to maintain speech privacy.
In the present world, people spent at least 8 hours at their work places and life can become stressful due to work pressure. Noises and distractions while one is trying to focus on a critical task can heightened the stress felt by office executives, leading to lower work productivity. Several research papers have reported that exposure to noise for long durations daily can lead to serious medical problems in individuals. To mention
a few, they are:
- Increased in blood cholesterol
- Increased in aggressive behaviour
- Increased anxiety and irritating behaviour
We as acoustic consultants feel some considerations must be given to noise emitted by MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) services. The most demanding acoustic issue arises in ensuring the need for acoustic privacy between workstations in open plan offices. Reverberation and noise control is also necessary in break-out areas and atria.
Another common problem faced by many is poor sound insulation between adjoining private offices, resulting in cross talk. Advance Acoustic Research consultants will work closely with architects, interiors designers and fit-out contractors to help select the right partition system and the right ceiling system that can be easily and quickly installed, and at the same time meeting the users’ needs. Cross talk can also occur through the common HVAC ducts. In such cases, we will perform HVAC duct analysis and provide the appropriate advice and solution.
One of the most critical spaces that needs to be looked into is the video conferencing rooms. These spaces require very high speech intelligibility (STI). With our analysis and recommendations, we will help our clients achieve an STI value of more than 0.6 (with 0 being completely unintelligible and 1 being perfect intelligibility), which is considered good.
